Jamestown’s Visitors Center houses artifacts from 1607, the Virginia Company of London established a colony in Virginia primarily as one of America’s first economic venture. After losing power for over a day the artifacts and priceless heirlooms were in danger.
In partnership with the construction management team at the Colonial National Historical Park Service in Yorktown, Va., The Preservation Virginia relied on Harris Power Electrical to provide technical design and a quick installation of a new 500kw Caterpillar generator, change the electrical service to include a new Automatic Transfer Switch, concrete structure above the island’s flood plain and a maintenance platform around the generator.
