Hampton Roads’ first Light Rail is now complete. The long awaited mass transit system project runs from Norfolk State University through downtown Norfolk, Virginia and to ends at the EVMS Medical College near the Sentara Norfolk General & Kings Daughters Children’s Hospital.

Reliable backup power is a necessity in order to keep any rail system and their maintenance buildings in operation so Bay Electric, Co. contracted Harris Power to supply the new 200kw generator, automatic transfer switch and also install the custom built generator platform to meet the completion deadline of this project.  This generator has a custom built 48-hour run-time fuel tank in case of severe storms or outages.
